Hi My name is Anthony
I have been working at peniche hostel for the past 10 weeks as a volounteer. I have been working the night shift from 6 till 12pm my duties include setting up the breakfast table and also receiving any check ins that occur during this time.
Working the night shift allows me to enjoy peniche during the day and with world class waves just a stone throw away and when the waves arn´t that great a simple walk around town or to the marina provides a great day out.
Overall Peniche is a wonderfull place as is Peniche hostel itself nothing like your avergae hostel it is more a Home away from Home.

I’ve always wanted to learn Portuguese and how to surf.
That’s why I would like to come and help the hostel this summer
About me:
I’m from the Netherlands but I’ve been studying in England for the past 2 years.
I worked in a restaurant as a waitress, I worked as a student assistent at my university (administrative work) and I am a student representative at my university (spokes-person).
If it is possible, I would like to help at the hostel for two weeks in June.

I used to work in Peniche Hostel some years ago. It was a great experience. Peniche is a nice small town with unique geography and lovely beaches. I have only good memories about the hostel and all guests loved it, too, because it really is like home away from home. Tenho saudades de Portugal!

Dear Peniche Hostel,
I am originally from Hungary and grew up in California swimming and surfing, spending everyday on the beach. I plan to travel to Peniche to surf for two weeks in early August and was wondering if you still have any work opportunities? I would be willing to do anything from cleaning bathrooms to teaching surf lessons! Thank you!

Hi all at peniche hostel, Your place looks great and everyone seems to love it too!! I will be coming to peniche in september and plan to stay for a month….. Hopefully longer. Working in hostels, volunteering, and hospitality is something I have done in the past. Would you still be looking for someone to fill in some hours around this time of year?

Hey! I’m a 22 years old graphic design student and photographer. I have worked in hostels both in San Sebastian(hostel surfbackpackers) and Munich for the Oktoberfest(Hostival). I love meeting travellers, showing them around and the general positive relaxed vibe of hostels.
I’m looking for a job for August and september maybe, I would love to learn portuguese! I don t really care about the money, as long as i can stay without spending too much and making the most of of it I’m fine.
I’m fluent in Italian, english and spanish, speak a bit of french as well.

My name is Áron, I am a 23 years old student from Budapest, Hungary. I would like to spend the summer (from mid/end May to September) in Peniche and after reading through the site and all the comments, your hostel appears to be just the place where I would like to work. I have previous experince from the hospitality industry (both from London where I lived for a while and Budapest): bars, restaurants, a small hotel. I speak English and French fluently and also some Spanish.
Spending some time near the ocean in Portugal, surfing, learning Portugese, while being surrounded by like-minded young travellers, has always been something I wanted to do, so if you have a place please get back to me! Cheers, Áron

Hi!
I’m a student (cultural studies) and I’m looking for a way to spend my holidays. I’ve always wanted to visit Portugal. The languages I speak are polish (I’m from Poland
and english. It’s not many, but I believe in the power of smile as the best way to communicate 
.
Travelling is something I love. My aim is to see Portugal, meet some people, work and not spend too much money – that is why I think volunteering in hostel is perfect for me. I have worked in guest-house last summer, but it was a regular job, not volunteering.
I am available since July to August and can work for a few weeks during this period.

My name is Ricardo and I plan on going to Peniche this summer in june and im looking for a place to stay, i am looking for any sort of work in order to pay for my accommodation, and as soon as I saw you’re post I thought it would be a great Idea for me to at least try and apply for work at you’re hostel although it is a bit of a longshot!
But anyways I would love it if i could work in your hostel in exchange for accommodation as I am very keen on going to penuche to surf and learn Portuguese.

Hi ,
My name is Kyra and I am looking to come to Peniche in October of this year. I am a 19 year old American. I am currently attending a local community college and taking classes both at the school and online. This coming school year I am looking to travel a good amount before enrolling into a four year college. I would love to be abel to volunteer at your hostel. I enjoy traveling and seeing new places. I have worked at a Beach Grill as cashier and had the responsibility of opening and closing shop. I also have worked at a paint your own pottery studio. I am reliable and can provide plenty of references. I am knowledgable about working at a business, and can provide excellent customer service. I have also volunteered at a butterfly garden in Costa Rica. I am willing and interested in learning any job duties you would have for me and would love to work here. If you have any availability for volunteers, I hope you will consider me, as I would love to be by the beach, learn Portuguese, and work at the hostel! Hi Cian, we have a very nice hostel in baleal beach. We have a big yard that you can camp at. In exchange we need some help between 6 and 12 pm. You would be here to do the check ins between those hours. we could offer you free internet, breakfast and hot shower. You would have 1 day of the week off. I’m originally from Venezuela, living now in London, I’m 25 with a master’s degrees in management of touristic lodging as well as one in marketing focused in tourism; I have experience in every department in a hotel and now I’m looking to gather experience in hostels and improve my Portuguese while on it, to eventually start my own hostel in Latin America.
My current company provided me with Portuguese classes and I actually spent my holidays surfing in Peniche, reason why I’m interested in the place, my company is currently offering me better positions but I believe I’m meant to be next to what I love doing now and not later.
